DescriptionTranscription: Arcadia, Calif./April 30, 1942/Dear Miss Breed,/Thank you for your letter and books. /I saw Miss Fay last Saturday and she brought me many books and gifts. She certainly has been kind and is simply a wonderful person. Last Saturday she arrived here at 1:30 but I was not notified until 3:50. /My father has made several tables and stools, thus we are fairly comfortable. /I have been working for the past two weeks in the Recreation Dept. as a Leader--teaching 7-8 year old children 4 hrs. a day. Our program includes arith., art., story-telling, spelling, and physical training. A Library has been established--books and magazines donated by Pasadena, and various places. Also from S. D. State College. It rains every other day but the last two days have been hot and dusty. My brothers work in the cafeteria. Sincerely Margaret;1 postcard from Margaret Arakawa to Clara Breed.
