Dear Nobuko,
The reason I [didn't]
write to you back [the]
day I received [your]
letter was [because]
I thought maybe [I]
could tell you some
thing about George.
We wrote to that
hospital in Kentucky
and received word
that he had been
transferred to a
Station Hospital in
Fort Lewis, Washington
on June 29th. So now
we have written [them]
Have you heard [from]
the Red Cross yet?
Yesterday at work
I was put on the
ribbon counter [which]
I like very [much ___]
had been working
pretty steady on [the]
hardware counter. [And]
today they even trusted
me at the candy counter.
Last Mon. I had a
tooth pulled which
didn't feel very good,
but I'm glad it's out.
That's about all I can
think of for now. I sure
hope I hear soon about
George and that every-
thing's O.K.
Lots of Love
[Beverly]
