DescriptionUnstretched. Image of a French village in the countryside. In the foreground, two figures walk toward each other - on the bottom left, a man hunched over with a sack and a cane, and on the right, a woman with her cat enter a straw field from the village. The center of the image is of a gray wall, separating the foreground from the village and hillside (upper half). The village is dotted with red and blue roofs, and a large church steeple. The hill side is bordered by a row of trees - green (foothill) and dark brown (top). A blue sky - feathered with wisps of white clouds - adds depth to the scene as the viewer looks from a distance.
