DescriptionLetter from John (Sohei) Hohri to Harold Landon, dated August 5, 1942. In the upper left corner there is a drawing of two barracks, a power line, and mountains in the background. John writes about his time spent in Manzanar, the hot weather, and the monotony of camp life. He mentions that he has heard and read that Manzanar is one of the best camps, but notes that many individuals around him have no hope for the future. He writes that the thought of being in camp for up to ten years is not an encouraging thought, and concludes by referencing two Bible verses: Matthew 6:34 and 1 John 1:7.
