Ikeda sits with his back to viewer and leans on his elbows ; Yamakawa sits on other side with hands on table, looking at board ; Mizutani is dressed in a robe and slippers with his hands in his pockets.
Bottom center sketch is a portrait of a man, Hata, in a plaid robe in profile facing left reading a book. Bottom right sketch is a portrait of a bearded man wearing glasses from the collar up.
