DescriptionA small handmade wooden mailbox. The back panel has a scalloped edge at the top with a small hole for hanging on a wall or post. A hinged lid slopes forward like the roof of a house. The front panel has a circular cut out with two half circles fitted with two narrow sticks in the center to resemble a window. Across the top semi-circle is "MAIL" printed in black ink outlined in red. Across the center, in between the two cut out semi-circles, is the family name, YOSHINO, M" in black ink. Below the bottom semi-circle is their barracks address at Heart Mountain, "25-16-A, H.M." in black ink outlined in green. The wood is left natural with a light shellac finish on the outer surfaces. The inside surfaces and backside of the back panel are not finished with shellac.
