Description1 unframed drawing, graphite on paper. The drawing depicts the full figure of a nude woman. Her backside is shown and her proper left arm is bent and her hand rests on her left hip. A view of her proper right profile is shown. At her head, crook of elbow, hip, calf and foot, numbers from one to five are indicated. The drawing is done in an expressive gestural manner using contour lines. Where the artist wants to emphasize the curve of the body, the lines are expressed in bolder lines. The woman's form is rounded and sensuous, and the diagonal line of the body lends a dynamic quality to the composition. The numbers seem to be added as an artist's notation to mapping various locations of the body (academic guide).
